I always carried the belief that all business leaders
need to be entrepreneurial in their mindset. In the first meeting itself with
Babson College, USA, I found an institution which has shaped this belief and is
today a global leader in entrepreneurial education. In Nottingham Trent
University we found the strength in Academic Standards and Quality Systems in
Education with focus on curriculum design, pedagogy and student learning. The
Asian urge for growth and need to build a strong network of academic fraternity
in applied research is what Asian Institute of Technology shared with us. Our
association with AIT to offer DBA programme first time in the country is a step
in this direction. Hence for me the forging of the partnerships with three
leading institutions was a significant step in the direction of world class
partnerships and curriculum.
The next step for me was to organize a top-notch faculty team. We have some
eminent academicians from the IIMs with us along with very experienced managers
who have decided to share their vast experience with the young students. All of
us have come together to share a vision of building a centre of excellence. It
is with this confidence that I look forward to Pearl School of Business making
its mark in India. When I look around today, there is optimism and
energy everywhere. Over the last decade industrial growth has been rapid. No
longer is it information technology led but all sectors of industry and
specially manufacturing is making a big contribution to all round economic
growth that we are experiencing. Indian entrepreneurs and organizations are
making their mark on the global stage through acquisitions and green field
ventures. The driving force for this economic resurgence is our Business
Acumen. Pearl School of Business will add one more dimension of an
entrepreneurial mindset to management students on their journey to become
successful business leaders of tomorrow.
I welcome all to join in the journey towards successful business leadership.
