In the first of the Meet the Leader series, PSB students had the opportunity to hear Mr Ashok Trivedi, Chairman and Co-founder of iGATE on 10 Sept 08.  Mr Trivedi shared with the students the start of his entrepreneurial journey and the initial struggles.  He also presented the changing landscapes of the Global IT industry and the resultant challenges before the Indian players.  The entrepreneurial culture of the US, the availability of capital and the urge to innovate were responsible, according to him, for the US ascendancy in the last 100 years.  The Indian advantage in the IT space was sustainable, in his view, on account of high manpower quality, medium cost and high Language skills.  The future would belong to nano technology, biotechnology and renewable energy applications.  He told the PSB students to always look for new ideas and opportunities.
